Bad law, it is said, comes from hard cases [because there are often at least two compelling, but now opposing, principles at stake, and the law (which is really decided by people now and no longer handed down from the heavens on stone tablets) must decide which principle is more important than the other(s)]. One of the presenters up on the dais, looking out over the audience, spotted W.A.R. and said: "Wayne, what would you do?"W.A.R. replied by neatly and masterfully side-stepping the question: "Fortunately for me, I've only represented innocent people."
