It was as if the story of their entire future lay in the trunk of that old rusty De Soto car as it headed home from the downtown Kokomo, Indiana Western Auto Store just off the town square after a long day of work . The fabric of their lives would soon be so tightly woven together into the brilliant colors and hues of that old Persian rug that pulling a single thread would have altered the course of time and events. So, the old rug lay in silence, just waiting for its secrets to be discovered - but it would not be silent for long. Joseph Scott Butcher began his walk through the pages of his life in Kokomo, Indiana in the company of his two older sisters - Christy and Julie, and his little brother - Danny Clay. While living under the roof of Buddy and Ginny - their parents, they all encountered life. Joseph moved off to the Ozarks and received his undergraduate degree from Ozark Bible College and received his master's degree from Pittsburg State University. While he may live in Joplin, Missouri with his wife and grandchildren, part of his heart remains in a small Indiana town. These are the stories of their lives as seen through the eyes of Betty & Billy.
