Alexander Xo be president thereof, for the pnrpose of examining and reporting on a HjB tem of irrigatiou in the San Joaquin, Tulare, and Sacramento Valleys of the State of California, and will hold themselves iu readiness to proceed to the duties of the commission on receipt of farther instructions from the Secretary of War.
