The book is dedicated to a series of lunettes depicting the Villas of the Medici family through extraordinary aerial views. These paintings were ordered in 1599 by the Grand Duke Ferdinando I de' Medici to the Flemish artist Iustus Van Utens; after several transfers, the lunettes are today exposed in the Villa Medicea delle Petraia in Florence (Italy), where visitors can now see the painting after a thorough work of restoration, which is the main subject of the book. Presentation by Stefano Casciu, Marco Mozzo. Texts by Alessandra Griffo, Cristina Acidini, Alessandra Marino, Giorgio Galletti, Filippo Camerota, Rosella Lari.
