My most serious issue with this book is that Bob Woodward has failed to establish , how and to what extent has the world been destabilized by what he calls “Fear” and “indecision” as personified by a man called Donald Trump as president of USA.The world is going on as it has been .Nothing has fallen despite Woodwards cheap gossip .Woodwards has failed to cite one strategic decision of Trump that destabilized this world or started a third world war.The cardinal impression that I while reading these 395 pages of an old womans cheap gossip were that US politics is like a storm in a teacup.This storm of 395 pages of lightweight and shallow nonsense to my mind appears to have been financed by the Democrats and their supporters in the media , wall street etc.Certainly this is not a work of serious scholarship .Polemical in essence and rumour mongering at its best .Yes it has been a best seller because shallow nonsense which everyone can relate to and digest sells in the world and in the USA like hot cakes.This is certainly not a book that I would like to read, although I am no fan of President Trump.My issue with Bob Woodward remains that his attacks are shallow and his claims dubious to say the least.The calamity or calamities that Bob Woodward paints are spicy and saucy but cannot be called serious scholarly writing .
