Complete Works of D. Venevitinov
Dmitry Venevitinov (1805-1827) - Russian poet of the Romantic movement, translator, novelist and philosopher. Dmitry Venevitinov born 14 (26) in September 1805 in Moscow, in an old and rich noble family. He received a classical education at home, which was led by the mother (Princess Anna N. Obolensky), learned French, Latin and Greek. He became interested in German philosophy and romantic poetry. I listened to some lectures at Moscow University, in particular the rates of AF Merzlyakov, I. Davydov, MG Pavlov and Loder. He participated in the meetings of the student literary circle N. Rozhalina. In 1825 Venevitinov joined the Moscow archives College of Foreign Affairs. He participated in the publication of the magazine "Moscow Gazette." Organized together with the prince Odoevskii philosophical secret "Society of wisdom." In 1827 Venevitinov moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg, entered the office of a foreign board. At the entrance to St. Petersburg Venevitinov he was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the plot. He spent three days in custody, that hurt his health. Then, in March, returning from the ball lightly dressed, Venevitinov caught a bad cold. The poet died 15 (27) in March 1827 in St. Petersburg.
