Vom 25.11.2011 bis 29.01.2012 widmete das Glasmuseum Weiwasser dem Thema Glasperlenkunst eine umfangreiche Sonderausstellung unter dem Titel "Zerbrechliche Trume", in dessen Zentrum die Arbeiten der Glasknstlerinnen Simone Claudia Hamm und Karen Zerna standen. Gezeigt wurden moderne zeitgenssische Schmuckkunst, historische Glasperlenmuster des Altertums sowie experimentelle Objekte, eine reprsentative Auswahl an Werken der ersten zwei Themenbereiche sind im Ausstellungskatalog vertreten. Handgefertigte Glasperlen, so genannte fine Lampwork Beads, sind beliebte Sammlerobjekte weltweit. Kleine feine glserne Gedankenspiele zu Schmuck zusammengefgt, bezaubernde Arrangements aus Licht, Form und Farbe.
