This story highlights two unique societies worlds in their evaluation. The first one we see at Sawston, a not unusual English metropolis of Edwardian epoch, in which human beings lived without any thrilling occasions and had been extremely bored, where the gap among the top and decrease training was deep. There stay Herritons own family - Mrs. Herriton, her son Philip, her daughter Harriet and her daughter-in-regulation Lilia with her little daughter Irma. Herritons belong to the higher strata of society (at the least they act as they do).Mrs. Herriton was in opposition to decision of her elder son Charlie to marry the female from the lower elegance, however ultimately, she made up her thoughts to this truth. But she in no way missed the possibility to moralize Lilia and tell her how she need to behave and what she has to do which will fit their "noble" family. Poor (and stupid) Lilia obeyed with none protest, but quickly she began a friendship with one man and favored him a lot and it changed into so clean that Mrs. Harritton determined to send her with Miss Abbott (a friend of Lilia) away, so Lilia could forget about about her "weigh down"(the vintage lady will so regret this). And Lilia obeys (as standard). She is going to Italy, where she lives in a quite town Monteriano, absolutely another international with completely distinctive traditions. It was the place "wherein one truely does experience within the coronary heart of factors and rancid the overwhelmed music". People, who live there, are passionate in all aspects of their lifestyles, no matter stupid and arrogant Englishmen, whose each day changed into much like another. There Lilia meets and marries the pretty but evil (because it turned out) Italian Gino Carella, the son of a dentist. Herritons family is killed with such ungratefulness and contrariness, Philip even attempted to steer Lilia not to marry this guy, however it become in useless. So, overdue Mrs. Herriton decided to break off with this ungrateful person who didn't treasure what they gave her. Stupid Lilia is under the charms of affection, she thinks that she I finally loose and happy.
