Mr. Dukes draws from his experience as a pastor and an elementary principal to examine leadership principles found within the Bible. Serving as a pastor for sixteen years enabled him to study what the Bible says about leadership. The eighteen years he served as an elementary principal helped him to apply the principles of leadership he began learning while serving as a pastor. God has given some excellent examples of leadership in the Bible by men who exhibited the character God desires from His leaders. Moses, David, Joshua, Nehemiah, Peter, Paul, and Jesus were all examples of great leaders who pleased God with their leadership. They were not all preachers but were men given the tasks of leading people. They were successful because they demonstrated the principles of leadership found in the Bible. This book focuses on the calling, training, and leadership of Moses, who received the most challenging leadership opportunity known to man. Given an impossible task to lead a nation from slavery to freedom is an example that provides lessons for every leader. This book searches the Bible to find the qualities and character good leaders possess. Whether one is a Christian or not a Christian, the principles of leadership found in this book will help anyone desiring to be a better leader.
