This book looks at the Vietnam War from a different perspective. The author gives us a first person account of caring for the casualties of war during two tours of duty in Vietnam. From Graves Registration Collecting Points to Search and Recovery efforts, Memorial Activities specialists and NCOs typify the compassion, dignity, determination, reverence and respect that have always been rendered by our nation for those who have paid the ultimate price. It chronicles what happens to fallen warriors when they die in battle and ends when they are placed in an aluminum transfer case en route to ports of entry in the USA. It is written with sensitivity, insight and clarity and explains the lengths to which Memorial Activities personnel will go in recovering deceased personnel. Vietnam is the first war in which there are no unknown fallen warriors. This is a testament to those who were entrusted with the task of caring for the dead.
