Shanghai city selected historically important 64 old roads in 2016 and declared that Shanghai will never widen these 64 roads, because they are the most intact and concentrated to reflect the history and culture of Shanghai. It was a local photographer, Lin Xiangqing who let us know this information. Then, on this occasion, we decided to start photo-archiving those roads and to publish them for each former concession.
