Moses had vital periods of his lifes experiences occur in 40 year increments; 40 years as a prince in Egypt, 40 years on the back-side of the desert, and 40 years wandering with the children of Israel in the wilderness. Moses was on the Mount Sinai 40 days and 40 nights when he received the Ten Commandments and the law. The 12 spies spied out Canaan for 40 days. Elijah was on Mount Horeb for 40 days. Jonah took 40 days to preach in Nineveh. Ezekiel lay on his side for 40 days symbolizing Israels sin.The number 40 is also related to prosperity (the product of 5, the number of grace times 8, the number of new beginnings). 40 different authors wrote the Bible. Israel flourished as a united kingdom for 40 years under David and 40 years under Solomon his son. We are going to take the journey of the next 40 days and allow GOD to set us on a course to better. Powerful things, game changing things occurred after 40 days and 40 years. We are going to take the needed paths that will get us home.
